California Arts CouncilThe California Arts Council (CAC) partners with the CDE on statewide arts education initiatives. This collaborative relationship has assisted in bringing together the arts and education community in a joint effort to provide comprehensive, standards-based arts education programs in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts for all students. Make sure to obtain a copy of An Arts in Education Research Compendium (2001). This excellent resource organizes many source documents, experiments, and projects into key areas in arts education research providing a rationale for the inclusion of the arts into every school.
